Event Description: Poorly written novels are sometimes best-sellers. Beautiful prose isn’t the sole determinant of a novel’s success. You can likely write well enough to sell already, but aren’t meeting the publisher’s needs. In this workshop, a professional editor tells you what publishers want. You’ll learn: • How to keep your submissions out of the editor’s “slush pile” • How to overcome “writer’s block” • How to get editors to ask for your submission If you’ve already completed your novel, use what you’ll learn to produce a more marketable rewrite.
